Excess to government services has been lacking in parts of Kagua-Erave in the Southern Highlands Province due to the deteriorating state of roads. The road link between Wara Yallow to Kauga station has always been a hindrance to the people after it deteriorated to a bad state. But thanks to local MP James Lagea for the commitment of K500,000 towards the repairs to the road. This would see buses and other light vehicles have smooth access to the district. The road maintenance work is being carried out by the contractor Niugini Star Transport Limited. The maintenance would pave way for the second phase of the ADB Project to seal the highway while Civipac has stated on the first phase from Ialibu station to Wara Yallow. This would improve road net work in the Kagua-Erave District.
